Kippel is a stool for school children on which a safe titling is possible in everyday school life. It is designed for two children and offers the possibility to adapt to the interpersonal situation of the two children. Arguing the Children, they sit far apart. Do they get on well again, the two seats can be pushed closer together. For conversations it is also possible to face each other and turn your legs inwards.
Most children in school like to tip over on their chairs. However, thisswinging on a chair edge is very dangerous. Kippel offers children the possibility to tip over safely. However, the concept does not only offer the enjoyment of the children in the foreground. The titling movement keeps the children constantly in motion and, unlike static sitting, strength their backs. Dynamic sitting and balancing around the rotation axis also promote concentration.
Kippel is built of two seat blocks made of glued cardboard which are mounted on a stainless-steel axle. The seat blocks have the shape of a cube which gives them a childlike character. They remind of building blocks from the playroom. The wire is double bent, expressing a certain dynamic and stability at the same time. The thicknessof the wire is giving security. Kippel thus offers a perfect alternative for everyday school life.
